The October half term in Hampshire 2022 runs from Monday 24th October – Sunday 30th October. Halloween falls just outside of October half term this year but there are still plenty of spooky activities happening in half term.

The Flying Broom Academy
Dates: 22nd – 31st October 2022
The Flying Broom Academy opens its doors again this October half-term. Learn the magical skills of broomstick flying, spellcasting and herbology. Visit Felicity Frogmarsh’s sweet emporium, the Flying Broom Academies dormitories, staff room and the crystal ball caravan.
West Quay Digital Fireworks Show
Dates: 21st – 29th October
Start the half term with a bang this October. The FREE immersive light show will light up the City walls to the sound of the Greatest Showman’s anthems. There will be two 20 minute shows a night at 6pm and 8pm.
Lantern Tales For The Brave And Bold
Date: 26th October
Visit Gilbert Whites for some stories of ghosts, giants and heroes. The session is suitable for ages 8-11 years, and told by a professional storyteller.

Itchen Valley Halloween Trail
Dates; 22nd – 30th October 2022
Follow the Halloween Trail and look out for the spooky characters in the woods. Pick up a pack from the Woodland Café.
Halloween Riddle Trail
Dates: 22nd – 30th October
Can you solve all the riddles in this fun National Trust trail in Hampshire at The Vyne. Parking slots currently need to be pre booked prior to your visit due to improvement works.

Funland Fright Night
Dates: 22nd, 26th, 27th October 2022
If you like scary nights out in Hampshire, then a visit to Fright Night at Funland is a must. Visit the old asylum where the spirits roam at night waiting in the shadows to give you a fright. Your entry ticket gives you access to the park, an unlimited ride wristband for use on the rides through out the evening and entry to all mazes.
October Half Term At Butser Ancient Farm
Dates: 22nd – 30th October 2022
This October half term in Hampshire, why not visit Butser Ancient Farm for the turning of the seasons at this magical time of year, known to our ancestors as Samhain.
There will be crafts, trails, handling sessions and plenty more family activities.

Chawton House Half Term Gothic Garden Trail
Dates: 22nd – 31st October
Will you brave the Spooky Trail? You’ll come face to face with wicked witches, peculiar pumpkins and ghostly ghouls- only the most fearless will get to the end. Children in Halloween costume will visit for FREE during half term.
Milestones Museum
Leisure Park, Churchill Way West, Basingstoke RG22 6PG
Between the 22 October 2021 to 31 October 2022 you can take a trip around the cobbled streets of Milestones and spot the ghostly ghouls haunting the museum’s buildings.

Paultons Park October Half Term
Happy Halloween at Paultons Park takes place between Thursday 13th October and Monday 31st October. There are late night openings until 7:30pm on Tuesday 25th until Thursday 27th October. Enjoy some rides in the dark!
The Halloween shows run from Saturday 22nd October to 31st October. You’ll spot Peppa Pig World’s spooky Halloween makeover. The newest area in the park, Tornado Springs has Halloween decorations from the way out west.
Why not enjoy The Legend of Paultons Manor show, which is an all singing and dancing extravaganza. There’s also ghoulish fun as you meet Pickles the Pumpkin and the rest of the spirit squad characters!
Winchester City Museum Halloween Party
Date: 30th October
The Halloween party at Winchester museum is happening between 5-6.30pm on 30th October. There will be spooky stories, games, crafts and prizes! Go dressed up in your best scary costume!
Watercress Line Wizard Week
Dates: 24th – 30th October
You can travel on the thrilling Wizard Express steam train and walk in Harry Potter’s footsteps. Why not dress up and take part in the fancy dress competition, and see owls and falcons as well as other scary creatures.
Mary Rose Back To The 80’s
Dates: 22nd – 30th October
Discover the new retro 80’s area with video game arcades. The area celebrates 40 years of raising the Mary Rose.
