Date: 4th November

Labelled as the best fireworks party in the South, the fireworks at Ageas Bowl are generally a sell out event. The gates open at 6pm with fireworks at 7.30pm. You can also expect a funfair, music and entertainment.

Hatch Warren Fireworks Spectacular

Date: 5th November

There’s lots going on at these Basingstoke fireworks. You’ll find a DJ, children’s rides, plenty of food and refreshments including a licensed bar.

Petersfield Fireworks

Date: 5th November 2022

The gates will open at 5.30pm and the bonfire lit at 6.30pm. Fireworks will be on display at 7pm. Tickets for this firework night in Hampshire can be purchased in advance and on the night. The tickets will be cheaper if you purchase in advance.

Southampton Fireworks Festival

Date: 5th November

The gates will open from 5pm for a spectacular evening of fireworks in Southampton. There’s also plenty to keep you entertained as you wait for the fireworks including a funfair. There’s also street food and craft beer on offer, as well as live music.

Winchester Bonfire And Fireworks

Date: 5th November 2022

The bonfire and fireworks are back at North Wall recreation ground in Winchester this year. This is the biggest fireworks display in the South of England, so one not to be missed.

There’s also a torch lit procession which starts from the King Alfred statue, and a child and hedgehog friendly bonfire to enjoy during the evening.

Ringwood Grand Fireworks

Date: 6th November

There will be two fireworks displays in Hampshire in Ringwood on 6th November. The 5.30pm display is are quiet fireworks, perfect for the little ones. The bonfire will be lit at 6.15pm and the main fireworks even happen at 7pm.

Totton Fireworks Display

Date: 6th November

These fireworks in Totton are set to music. After the gates open at 4.30pm, you will be able to enjoy children’s rides and stalls, bars including a hog roast and BBq.

Dates: 11th November – 2nd January

You’ll find a 600 metre ice rink at West Quay in Southampton over the festive season this year. The ice rink is open every day apart from Christmas Day.

Southampton Christmas Market

Dates: 17th November – 23rd December 2022

Times: 10am – 8pm

The interactive Flying Santa Show is one of the main attractions at Southampton Christmas market. The only flying Santa in the UK. The show takes place twice daily and afterwards every child receives a small gift from Santa. 


The Watercress Line Steam Illuminations

Steam Illuminations is a unique Christmas, pixel mappable digital LED train! It’s an incredible light show on and in a steam train, consisting of thousands of fully controllable colour mixing LED lights and LED wristbands. This makes the train look magical both inside and out!

Dates – 18th Nov – 7th Jan

You will travel through magical ‘snow’ at one part of the ride and spot new light installations along the line! 

There’s the chance to see the outside of the train at the start, middle and end of your journey to capture it by camera.

Winchester Christmas Market

Dates: 18th November – 22nd December 2022

Times: Sunday – Wednesday: 10.00am – 6.30pm./  Thursday – Saturday: 10.00am – 8.00pm

Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market is recognised as one of the best in Europe. The Christmas Market is inspired by traditional German Christmas markets and attracts more than 400,000 visitors each year. 

There will be over 100 chalet stalls for 2022 across the Inner and Outer Close, Paddock, Craft Village, and the Food Court. 

As well as tempting stalls, there is an ice rink in the centre of the market. The ice rink will open on (2022 TBA). It will be open from 10am – 9.00pm (last session starts at 8.00pm) on most days.

A planned procession is in place for (2022 date TBA), with live music and a spectacular finale.

Ringwood Winter Wanderland – Christmas Lights Switch On

This FREE event in Ringwood begins when Santa starts his first parade at 11.30am through the town Centre. He will begin his journey from the Furlong Shopping Centre. Santa’s second parade of the day is at 5.45pm. There is plenty of activities on offer through the day including market, small fairground and street entertainment.
