Date: 1st October
Southampton take on Everton in the Premier League fixture at home at St Mary’s Stadium. Kick off it at 3pm.
Autumn Steam Gala Watercress Line
Dates: 7th – 9th October
The Autumn Steam Gala is a three day event with the chance to enjoy unlimited rides. It’s also the last chance for visitors to ride the 30925 Cheltenham before the boiler certificate expires.

Paultons Park Halloween
Happy Halloween at Paultons Park takes place between Thursday 13th October and Monday 31st October. There are late night openings until 7:30pm on Tuesday 25th until Thursday 27th October. Enjoy some rides in the dark!
The Halloween shows run from Saturday 22nd October to 31st October. You’ll spot Peppa Pig World’s spooky Halloween makeover. The newest area in the park, Tornado Springs has Halloween decorations from the way out west.
Why not enjoy The Legend of Paultons Manor show, which is an all singing and dancing extravaganza. There’s also ghoulish fun as you meet Pickles the Pumpkin and the rest of the spirit squad characters!
West Quay Digital Fireworks Show
Dates: 21st – 29th October
Start the half term with a bang this October. The FREE immersive light show will light up the City walls to the sound of the Greatest Showman’s anthems. There will be two 20 minute shows a night at 6pm and 8pm.
Milestones Museum
Leisure Park, Churchill Way West, Basingstoke RG22 6PG
Between the 22 October 2022 to 30 October 2022 you can take a trip around the cobbled streets of Milestones and spot the ghostly ghouls haunting the museum’s buildings.
Halloween At Longdown Activity Farm
Dates: 22nd – 30th October 2022
Enter the Haunted Barn at your peril during October half term. You will find real-life barn owls and creepy creatures on Sunday 30th October. The Pumpkin Quest is for all the family too. Spot the orange faces around the farm.
After all the scary stuff, calm down with the friendly farm animals, and join in with a full schedule of farm activities throughout the day.
Autumn Steam Up And Halloween At The Brickworks Museum
Swanwick Lane, Bursledon, SO31 7HB
Taking place on 23rd October 2022 between 11am – 4pm, it’s the spookiest steam up! Held in the haunted (yes really) Victorian buildings, decorated with ghouls, ghosts, bats and rats. Can you survive a Sunday in Britain’s most-haunted brickworks?
Oktoberfest Southampton
Dates: 28th – 29th October
Oktoberfest Southampton is the South Coast’s biggest Oktoberfest. Taking place in the Guildhall Square, you’re advised to get your tickets quickly for this sell out event.
Owl-O-Ween
Date: 28th October
Enjoy a spook-tacular family evening this Halloween at Hawk Conservatory Trust. You can enjoy some ghostly storytelling and marvel at the owls as they put on a beautiful flying display against the backdrop of the moonlit grounds.
Monkey Bizness Halloween Spooktacular
234 Empress Rd, Southampton SO14 0JW
Dates: Saturday 29th – Monday 31st October 5-7pm
There’s a mini disco, spooky crafts and a fancy dress competition. All of this as well as plenty of time to play on the indoor soft play equipment at Monkey Bizness. Ticket prices include a sandwich bag meal for each child.
Itchen Valley Halloween Activities
On the 29th October you can walk the Halloween trail by night and meet the spooky StoryTribe along the way. Explore this outdoor woodland setting in a safe and only slightly scary manner.
There’s also the Halloween trail open during the day between 22nd – 30th October if you prefer visiting in the day time.
